Site Analysis
Beaumont Park is situated a 10 minute walk away from the City Centre
The park is currently open from 7:30 am till dusk, our aim is to keep it open at night, increasing park safety with lighting
The park contains a four- way cross section in the centre, which is where our lighting feature will be located, drawing people in from each direction
Concept Development
Developed through concept sketches, structural studies, and spatial experimentation, the project investigates organic geometries and immersive lighting experiences within public space
On the right is an example of how the lights can be orientated to fit the setting. These parts will be located just above the spike, and the rest of the light will sit above.
